Poorva Rajguru - Undergraduate Researcher
I am an undergraduate researcher majoring in Biomedical Engineering. I joined the lab in January 2014, and have loved every moment since. In lab, I am interested in exploring functional genetics in different members of the family Brassicaceae.
Outside of lab, I spend a lot of my time volunteering through the Women in Engineering Programming Board, Engineering Ambassadors, CATalyst (a STEM outreach group) and am a Resident Assistant for the Engineering Leadership Community in Gila Hall on campus. I enjoy meeting new people, listening to loads of music (while singing along most of the time), hiking, exploring new places, trying new recipes, learning new things, obsessing over elephants, and spending time with friends and family.
This picture is of me in front of a hot spring at Yellowstone National Park, from May 2014.
