Piper Seeley - Undergraduate Researcher
I am an undergraduate student in the biochemistry program with a minor in military studies. I joined the lab as a junior in Fall of 2018. Since joining the lab I have been in charge of cultivating species in the Brassicaceae (yes, I am a plant mom). At the lab bench, I am working with Julie Cheung build a molecular circuit in cotton to augment leaf shape in response to drought.
Outside of lab I am involved in the Army ROTC program on campus. As an Army cadet we are developing leadership competencies and attributes. This has helped me with my promotional jobs in the ability to understand my audience and adapt to new situations. The rest of my free time is spent with friends, family and my pups!
