Jordan Knapp-Wilson

A Tucson local, I am currently an undergraduate at the UA seeking a double major in Molecular Cellular Biology and Plant Sciences as well as a minor in Biochemistry. I joined the Beilstein lab in spring of 2017. Since then I have been involved in raising transformed glycophyte and halophyte plants, such as Arabidopsis thaliana and Eutrema salsugineum, and observing their respective stress responses. The goal of this project is to observe and identify lncRNA involved in this stress response.
Out of the lab I am actively involved in outdoor activities such as backpacking in Northern Arizona and camping. I also enjoy indoor activities as well, as I’m an avid reader. Online games are another passion of mine that allow me to enjoy time with friends from across the country.
